Lowrider Show (Five Stars!)

Lowrider Show impressive artistry & invitation to a cultural shift.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, even though it wa on a very hot day. It was a free event, held in the parking lot of the Fine Arts Center. The variety of workmanship and visual artistry on the cars and accessories was a pleasure to walk around and look at without rushing. The vibe of the event was also nice and included music, dancing demonstrations and food at the same time on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

I grew up seeing low-riders with their bouncy hydraulics “porpoising” (I had to look that term up) in the Greeley, Colorado 4th of July Parade, but I’d never had a chance to look at them close-up.

The culture interests me now, although I didn’t know much about it going in. That it is partly about living a slower approach to life, I find fascinating and … Restorative.

Let’s all DO slow down…

I’ve since learned (through googling) that Lowrider Shows are a thing.

And if you’d like to pay for this content, thank you!
